Our Story.
Two weeks before my 30th birthday, I felt like I was dying. My wife rushed me to the emergency room and nurses immediately took me to the back. My heart was racing out of control and beating out of rhythm. I was in serious trouble.
After ten days in the hospital, most of which was spent in the ICU, I went home. Heart failure was the diagnosis—my heart was functioning at about 15%. I had a long road to recovery ahead of me, and I had no idea what my life would look like going forward.
A critical part of my recovery plan was exercise. But how? My heart was failing and I was so depleted from the hospital stay that I could hardly walk. While I was resting watching the Masters, my wife suggested that I try to go play golf. It would be a low impact way to work my heart and a little more entertaining than walking up and down the street. Of course! I loved to play golf with friends, now I could golf with a purpose.
For the next few months, I trudged around a local par 3 course and slowly regained my strength. Seven months later, I was no longer in heart failure. I owe my life to my amazing doctors, my family, and my friends. I owe my sanity to the game of golf, which provided me a healthy outlet to clear my mind and feel like I could do something normal, even when I felt like anything but.
I know how hard it can be to face serious health problems and the uncertainty they can bring. I also know how golf can help, even if just a little bit. Good Heart Golf is my way of bringing the game of golf to children and young adults who can use it the most.

Our Mission.
Good Heart Golf is made up of a community of people with one common mission—using the game of golf to promote healthy activity and fellowship among children and young adults with health conditions.
Playing golf provides numerous physical and mental benefits. Improved heart health, better lung function, and muscle development are just a few of the perks of playing. Spending time outdoors and interacting with other people can lower stress and anxiety. The best part is that golf is a highly adaptable game, so people of all ability levels can participate.
We are bringing the great game to those who can use it most through a variety of donation initiatives and projects. Our goal is to provide local hospitals and related organizations with golf clubs, golf toys, and other resources so that golf can be accessed by anyone who wants to enjoy a low-impact, fun, and healthy activity.
Good Heart Golf cannot accomplish its mission without you. So, please send us a message, sign up for emails, follow us on social media, and tell your friends about us!
